Contractor Yard Signs – It’s Time to Stock Up

Yard signs for Contractors, Political, Real Estate Realtors, estate sale signs, contractor yard signs

Yard signs, event signs, and real estate signs

Stock up on modern, professional contractor yard signs this spring!  Custom yard signs are a great way to advertise your work in and around communities you serve and would like to expand your business.

It’s up to you what font, colors and artwork you want to include on your sign.  Standard yard sign size is 18” x 24”; however, you can also customize the size and even the shape of your yard signs.  Using a standard size will optimize material usage, and the standard 18” x 24” signs fit well into standard sign posts such as the metal H-stake.  On the other hand, choosing a custom cut out shape will draw attention and set your signs apart from the many other yard signs out there.

Either way, you will find contractor yard signs to be both cost-effective and great advertising tools.

Yard signs are printed on opaque corrugated plastic, which is water proof and otherwise weather resistant.  The opaque quality makes it possible to print double sided signs without the print showing through on the opposite side.  In addition, UV curable inks hold up in direct sunlight for several months.

When it comes to designing your custom yard signs, our experienced design team can work with you to create the perfect balance between colors, logo, and information given.  We can integrate artwork you use in other marketing materials, or we can help generate a completely new logo and brand design.

Signs for Success is a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on contractor yard signs; contact us for a free quote today!

Foam Core Posters vs. Paper Posters

Table top posters, paper or foamcore for Washington Policy Center by Signs for Success in Spokane for annual dinner, foam core posters

Washington Policy Center table posters

Foam Core Posters are a great alternative to paper posters.  Foam board material is lightweight and rigid, and it provides a number of different display options.  For example, foam core posters can be mounted using hanging hardware, stud mounted to a wall, framed, or placed in a stand.  Foam board can be scored and folded.  We can also cut foam board into a custom shape to make unique hanging signs, standees and displays.

The main difference between foam core posters and traditional paper posters is that foam board is rigid.  Over time, paper posters may bend, curl, or tear.  Foam core is lightweight and provides a beautiful matte finish, but most importantly, it is a substantial material that does especially well as a hanging sign or tabletop display.

Foam core posters are great for:

  • Trade show displays
  • Indoor signs
  • Sign display stands
  • POP signs
  • Posters
  • Hanging signs, and more!
This foam core poster on the bulletin board at Spokane YMCA's has a brochure holder added so people can take info with them, foam board printing

YMCA foam core poster for holding brochures

Your artwork is printed directly to the foam board.  Digital printing provides high quality prints with vibrant color, and the smooth matte finish enhances our full color printing.  Foam core posters look professional and polished with or without a frame or decorative mounting hardware.  They can be used in place of a paper poster for a more substantial and longer-lasting sign or hanging display.  Or you can go all out and create a permanent indoor sign display with decorative mounts.  This foam core poster was designed to hold brochures for YMCA.  Our in-house designers can help you create your custom foam core posters and choose a display system that works for you.

Signs for Success is a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on foam core posters; contact us for a free quote today!

Chain Link Fence Signs Beautify and Promote Brooklyn Event

Chain Link Fence Sign Brooklyn, NY

Chain link fence signs beautify standard chain link fencing, advertise and promote, celebrate an event or season, or add privacy.  Custom graphics can include logos and existing artwork, or one of our experienced designers can work with you to create a one of a kind look to span the length and width of your fence.  We recently designed and printed fence slat signs for a special event in Brooklyn, NY.

MGB POPS is a seasonal, outdoor marketplace in the heart of Brownsville, Brooklyn.  It brings together food and retail options from Brownsville’s most creative entrepreneurs in an exciting space for everyone to enjoy.  MGB POPS is just one aspect of Community Solutions, an organization that works “toward a future without homelessness, in which poverty never follows families beyond a single generation…We help communities optimize their existing resources to make measureable social change at scale.”

These chain link fence signs feature the MGB logo and catchphrase, and were designed to beautify the event site while promoting the community cause.  “Thank you so very much for all the assistance with the design.  We love it,” Community Solutions Assistant Project Manager Emmily De Los Santos said.

Custom Chain Link Privacy Slats at Community Solutions event in Brooklyn, NY

Custom Chain Link Privacy Slats

Custom printed fence slats are made with printed corrugated plastic inserts that slide into chain link fence.  They eliminate the possibility of wind damage that often ruins other types of fence signs, such as banners or large coro signs.  Fence slat signs can be single- or double-sided.  Full color graphics, though cut into approximately 2” strips, are vibrant and easily discernible.

To install your custom fence sign, simply weave the bottom endcap piece into the chain link where you want the bottom of the sign to rest.  Then use the provided cutting tool to cut down slats a few at a time (so as not to misplace or jumble any).  Weave the slats into the chain link from the top of the fence one by one until your picture is complete.

Facility Rebranding gives Cohesive Look to Outdoor Signs

brushed aluminum sign, building signs for facility rebranding in Spokane, designed and installed by Signs for Success

City of Spokane Brushed Aluminum Wall Sign

Facility rebranding may be prompted by a logo change, management change, or just old graphics begging for an update.  Whatever the case, Signs for Success can create a cohesive rebranding plan incorporating a new logo, logo colors or other theme.

Facility rebranding may include:

  • A monument sign
  • Outdoor building signs
  • Parking signs
  • Indoor wayfinding signs
  • Suite signs and lettering
  • Indoor wall graphics, and so much more!

We have done rebranding, ADA signs, and indoor-outdoor sign projects for several businesses in and around Spokane.  Our most recent facility rebranding project was for City of Spokane Solid Waste, formerly Spokane Regional Solid Waste.

“This was a [facility rebranding] project where we were replacing signs for City of Spokane Solid Waste as the city took over facility management from Wheelabrator Technologies, under Spokane Regional Solid Waste,” Signs for Success owner John Bogensberger said.  Both the entry monument sign and the building sign needed to be updated with the new logo and name.  We did the original wall sign many years ago and were able to access the old file that contained sizes and photos of the building.

“We knew that there were many holes where the old dimensional letters were mounted to the fascia, so we determined that it would make more sense to cover the area with brushed aluminum composite panels, and mount the new dimensional letters to them,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger said.

Each sign installation was unique.  Once the holes from the old dimensional letters had been sealed, the new aluminum building sign was mounted directly to the fascia.  Not only does it cover the holes, but it gives the big impact of a large scale sign.  To replace the monument sign that marks the entrance of the site, we took a slightly different approach.  “Since it was poured concrete, we determined that making a new flat surface over the raised logos was the best, most economical way to proceed.  We mounted a 2×4 treated frame to the concrete face, then mounted the ACM panels with cut vinyl lettering on them to the frame,” Vanessa explained.  It completely covers the old lettering and gives a professional and cohesive look to the new facility signs.  “The biggest challenge was trying to figure out how to attach a new material to the existing sign,” Signs for Success production manager Denise Gillit said.  “To make the frame to attach a new material to, we had to cut down wood to fit inside the concrete frame.  It wasn’t horrible, just an added step.”

Entry Monument Sign “After” photo

“You drive by now, and you can’t even tell that it wasn’t original,” Denise said.

Aluminum composite (ACM) was used for both new signs.  It is an outdoor durable material made of two sheets of thin aluminum with a solid polyethylene plastic core.  We can print directly to ACM, or like these facility signs, apply cut vinyl lettering or dimensional letters to it.  ACM will look great and last for many years.  If you want to change the look of your building, facility or site, we can help come up with professional and outdoor durable rebranding solutions.

Stand Off Signs and Wall Display Cable Sign Mounts

Dimensional look with cables and standoffs for Snap Spokane, designed, printed, installed by Signs for Success, call now for great, fast service, stand off signs

Snap hall signs

Signs for Success helped Snap Spokane create this unique wall display of stand off signs.  Cables suggest an industrial look, while the mix of photo prints, clear acrylic logo panels and brushed aluminum signs give an eclectic vibe.  This well designed wall display looks altogether modern, polished and professional.

Snap’s mission is to help eliminate poverty by providing connections and opportunities for people of low income to help themselves.  Snap wanted to display a variety of text and photo pieces down the hallway.  By choosing bold background colors for text and alternating text with photo prints, the custom wall display is colorful and interesting.  Design, layout, printing and installation were completed by Signs for Success.  The signs were installed using cables and standoff mounts to give the whole piece a dimensional look.

Use a collage wall display of stand off signs like this one to fill a blank hallway or lobby wall and promote your business or goals at the same time.  You may choose to display sponsor or partner logos, give information about your program goals, highlight your mission statement, or tell success stories.  These will not only add interest, but can boost “brand awareness” by sharing your goals and successes with clients.

Coro winter signs for Accent Stove & Spa

Looking for an inexpensive billboard style sign?  Try digitally printed corrugated plastic.  Full color custom graphics on outdoor-durable “coro” can make a great large outdoor sign.

Accent Stove & Spa in Spokane wanted a changeable billboard style sign that they could change seasonally.  This coro billboard sign has been up many years, and is printed for summer on the reverse side,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger said.  Outdoor lighting highlights their billboard wall sign.  By printing a double sided sign, they cut the material cost in half, and can simply switch the sign around twice a year to showcase their seasonal deals.

Corrugated plastic is weather-proof and can for last several years.  To get the most life out of a coro billboard sign, try to place it where it won’t get full direct sunlight for several hours of the day, which fades color over time.  Extreme cold temperatures may cause the material to become brittle over time; however, this Spokane sign endures freezing temperatures several months out of the year, and is still looking great years later.  Corrugated plastic can also be used for permanent indoor signs, large and small.  The lightweight material can be hung, framed, or cut into a custom standee.  Coro is extremely versatile as well as cost-effective.

Our design team works one on one with customers to determine the best material, installation method, and custom graphics for each project we do.  Signs for Success is a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on a custom coro billboard sign; contact us for a free quote today!

Pioneer Homes van wrap design featuring new logo, created by Signs for Success

We have the opportunity with many businesses looking for a fresh start, or new businesses just starting up, to create a logo design and brand image from scratch.  Working with the customer to achieve their vision is rewarding, especially when we get to see the final product – a complete advertising campaign utilizing the new logo across different media.  For Pioneer Homes, we helped create a new logo design and implement it into the production of custom yard signs, business cards and a van wrap.

Logo Design Spokane

Our experienced design team works with customers one on one to come up with a logo design that suits their company identity and goals.  “We came up with a new logo after many revisions.  Gil is thrilled with his new logo,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger said.  Logos are a shorthand way of referring to the company.  They are the “face” of the company, and they provide a standard and unified focus for the various fonts, colors and design choices in all other marketing materials.  As such, it’s important to take the time to work out a design that will convey that unique identity.

Pioneer Homes Yard Signs proof

Custom Yard Signs

Custom yard signs are a cost-effective way to advertise on and near properties you are working on.  The standard size for yard signs is 18” x 24,” but yard signs are customizable, including sign size, colors, text and artwork.  Vanessa was able to incorporate the new logo into the yard sign design while still maintaining a clean, easy-to-read design.  We print yard signs on weather-resistant corrugated plastic.  Printing can be single- or double-sided, and UV-curable inks hold up outdoors for several months, up to a few years, depending on weather and direct sun exposure.

Van Wrap Design

Vehicle wraps are regarded as the best form of outdoor advertising in terms of return on investment (ROI).  It’s a no brainer to use space you already own to advertise your business, especially when that space also travels to all the communities you want to advertise in.  Furthermore, vehicle wraps generate up to 70,000 impressions per day, and they last 5-7+ years.

“We used his own great photos from jobs he has done in the Inland Northwest as well as out in the Seattle and Western Washington area,” Vanessa said.  Using photographs from finished projects is a great idea – not only is your logo advertised wherever the vehicle goes, but proof of your expertise does as well.  When it comes to van wrap design, simple and bold is the way to go.  Too much text or lots of small photos are difficult to process quickly.  On the other hand, a large logo, large photo and contact information gives just enough visual impact without overwhelming.

Gil of Pioneer Homes was able to use the new logo across different media, from yard signs and business cards to a new van wrap.  Now with the cohesive look, Pioneer Homes is giving a great first impression wherever business takes them.  Signs for Success is a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on logo design Spokane, custom signs and more; contact us for a free quote today! 3 Non-profit Signs to support your cause

YMCA used these and other life sized kid cutouts for an ad campaign at their clubs around Spokane, they are free standing and cut around the people, non-profit signs

YMCA life sized kid standees

Non-profits work hard to earn funds that will help achieve the organization’s goals. We work with several non-profits including United Way, Make a Wish, 2nd Harvest, YMCA, the Spokane Symphony, Isaac Foundation, and more.  We’ve created all kinds of signs for non-profits, but the three most common non-profit signs are corrugated plastic signs, special event banners, and promotional items.

Coroplast Signs

Corrugated plastic, or coroplast signs come in many different shapes and sizes.  They work well indoors or out and are a cost-effective means of getting a message across.  Some non-profit organizations have custom standees made in the shape of a person, animal, or goal thermometer.

Perhaps the most popular use for corrugated plastic signs by non-profits this past summer was for Golf Tournament Signs.  Golf tournaments are a great way to raise money, and we can supply hole signs, sponsor signs, and directional signs.  Like golf tournaments, charity runs, walks or biking events also use sponsor signs and directional and arrow signs to keep people on course.

These large banners installed in the Tri Cities for 2nd Harvest are huge! they are bungee corded to the custom frame

Large fence and wall banners for 2nd Harvest

Banners

Custom banners are another great way to attract attention to a non-profit’s cause.  Add details about your cause or an image that relates, and people are sure to take notice.  We print custom large banners, mesh banners, canvas banners, and vinyl banners.  Banners can be specified as double-sided or single-sided, with hem and grommets or with pole pockets.  A custom size can be specified as well. Banner stands display your banner indoors.  Outdoor banners can be hung with cord or installed on a pole or post.

Promotional Items

When it comes to promotional items, try to gear giveaways to your audience.  If your customer base largely includes young families, a bouncy ball with your name on it that can be given to children is a good bet.  Notepads or a planner to write lists down are great for adults who might have lots of activities to keep up with.

If possible, help people remember your cause by having a giveaway that’s related to your cause.  For example, a health or medical support organization could give away mini first aid kits, and an organization focused on helping people find employment could give away attractive, heavy duty folders for storing resumes or portfolios.

There are many other sign options available to non-profit organizations in Spokane and surrounding areas.  Signs for Success is proud to offer a 10% discount year-round to non-profits.  We are a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on non-profit signs; contact us for a free quote today!
