We encourage businesses to go all out with their trade show booths when they can, and for good reason – well-designed trade show graphics make a huge statement.  Just like this booth we recently did for Dynamic Decks in Spokane, the PopUp display with matching table throw and retractable banner stand come together to create an amazing look that gives a great first impression.

The design and layout were done by Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger.  Each product in this three-part tradeshow display encompasses the same clean design.  This is important because not only does it provide the visual impact you want at a tradeshow, but it also gets your message across clearly without a lot of different text, patterns or colors to confuse and distract a viewer.

“The whole effect was awesome, and Matt really loved it,” Vanessa said of the trade show table covers, display and banner.

The 6 ft. EZ Tube Tabletop Display has a slim profile of about 3 inches.  With a lightweight aluminum frame and seamless fabric graphic that stretches over the frame, it’s simple to set up and has a great streamlined look.  A 6 ft. three-sided custom table throw beneath the tabletop display gives the effect of a full free standing booth.  Trade show table covers come in 6-foot or 8-foot lengths, and can be printed with one or two colors (for a simple logo or company name), or in full color to really maximize the visual impact.

The retractable banner stand with a digitally printed super smooth banner completes the look.  It also provides an opportunity to give a little more information.  Dynamic Decks chose to add a single testimonial – a great use of the extra space without overwhelming the viewer with text.

This photo is of an architectural sign fabricated in three layers. The suite sign has a brushed gold DiBond backer, topped with a 1/8” thick black PVC sign with brushed gold foil lettering.  A piece of clear acrylic on top of both layers protects the letters and gives the piece a sleek, finished look.  The sign was mounted to the wall with stand-off mounts to add dimension.  Nikki Carroll from Vandervert Developments is very pleased with the final look and appreciates that it is easy to install and change out.

The gold foil lettering continues onto the glass door.  The logo, name and phone number in the same cut vinyl gives the office front a cohesive look.  This particular suite & foiled vinyl door is for Willie & Ingrid Maddox from Prominence Financial Group LLC at the Northpointe Center on North Nevada and Holland.  We can cut vinyl in many different types and colors for windows, walls, custom suite signs and more, to really promote a professional and put-together image.

When I think “banner,” shiny white plastic material usually comes to mind, but there are actually many materials, including fabrics, that we print on that can be used in lieu of traditional vinyl banner material.  When Ambitions Disability Support Services described the type of banner they were looking for, we knew fabric banners would be just right for their upcoming event.

“This is a unique job because we are using canvas instead of banner material or tyvek. The customer wanted a richer feel to the final product,” Signs for Success designer Will Oakley said.

The weight and warmth of the Picasso canvas fabric gives just the richness the customer was looking for.  When finished, it looks more like artwork than a banner.  In most cases, we use vinyl banner material with banner stands, but in reality, there are a variety of materials we can print on for use with banner stands.  Linen, pack cloth and poplin are a few other popular fabrics we print on.

The customer also wanted to make sure we could print color to the edge.  We did print to the edge, then finished the edges with banner tape.  Finally, grommets were placed in all four corners of the banner for easy hanging on grasshopper banner stands. One thing we love about banner stands is that you can change out your message for different events easily by switching out the banner.  The stands themselves are durable and will withstand several years of use.  Banner stands are designed to be easily transportable – they’re lightweight, and they fold down neatly for storage or travel.  They expand out when you need to display your banner and are accommodating for a range of banner sizes.

When you’re representing your company on the go, you don’t want to worry about details, especially when traveling to an out-of-state event.  Here are some easily transportable—yet still custom—tradeshow display options:

  1. The Hopup Trade show Booth is a Tension Fabric Display.  Your custom graphics are printed on fabric that pulls tightly around the display, creating a custom backdrop.  This is one of the most dynamic and popular large format graphics displaysdue to its maximum impact with minimal effort.  Hopup Tension Fabric Displays come in a variety of sizes—straight or curved, table-top or full height.  The extruded aluminum frame is lightweight and highly portable, and they pack away as easy as they set up!  Backlighting kits can be purchased separately, and when installed, they literally make your display glow.
  2. The Popup Display is similar to the Hopup in that the lightweight metal frame expands and contracts quickly and easily for easy setup and take-down.  The difference is that the Popup uses magnetic graphics.  We print graphics onto a thin flexible plastic called Styrene, then add magnetic tape to the back that clings to the display.  Overhead lighting illuminates your graphics, and case-to-counter conversion kits and graphics add to the professional look.

The EQ1 display (above) utilizes the curved shape to add graphics -their logo and website – to the sides as well as the main front image.  When it’s time to change the look, you can keep the Popup frame and just update the graphics.  Even though we’ve modified our look or tweaked the verbiage in our own graphics, we’ve been using the same Popup Curve frame for tradeshows and other events for many years.

  1. Folding Displays–Briefcase style tabletop displays are a great choice for promotions on the go.  These tabletop displays have a rigid, thermo formed ABS exterior and a black, Velcro compatible fabric interior.  We print custom graphics on Styrene or PosPro then add Velcro tabs to the back for easy set up and/or changes.  Custom headers increase the visual space, and are easily stowed inside the display case during off seasons or for travel.

    Printed Table Skirts– A full color logo table skirt is the perfect complement to your custom tradeshow display.  Full graphics, printed from edge to edge, will make your booth stand out from the rest.  The printed table throw is washable and sized to fit standard 6-ft or 8-ft tables.  When it’s this easy, why not bring together the entire look with a matching table throw?

  3. Retractable Banner Stands – A retractable display is similar to a pop-up but with even more portability. Retractable banners are typically made with a smooth-edged banner material that rolls down into a lightweight aluminum case.  To set up, simply pull the banner out and lock it in place with the telescopic pole.  This marketing tool can survive several marketing events with ease.
  4. Grasshopper Banner Stands are another way to display banners on the go.  The Grasshopper adjustable banner standis made of sturdy aluminum construction. The stand has a gear mechanism that swings high quality graphite poles out on the left and right side of the banner to form an X shape.  It is height and width adjustable, and it has 4 hooks on each end of the X shape of the stand for very easy set up and take-down.  Switching out graphics for different events is a breeze since the stand is stored separately from the banner.
