There are many ways to add lighting. External lighting, halo lit signs, and backlit signs are a few options.  External lighting uses an outside source to shine light on a sign or display. Halo lighting creates a glow or halo effect against the wall or backing that the sign is mounted to. Backlighting is just like it sounds –the light source is behind the sign. The sign material, usually acrylic or Lexan, filters light through the printed graphics to achieve an even glow.
