This is one of our busiest summers yet for boat wraps, and we’ve got some awesome custom boat wrap designs to show for it. CCB Marine company that winterizes and stores boats at Priest Lake Marina had a customer that wanted a custom boat wrap. The customer had a specific dragon design in mind that designer Will Oakley created from scratch, getting as close as he could to capturing the customer’s vision “without infringing on copyright.”
“This design process was a lot more challenging because their vision was so specific,” Signs for Success designer Will Oakley said. “I came up with a custom vectorized dragon with flames in the front, dragon in the middle, and tail wrapped around the back. It’s one of my favorite wraps I’ve done so far.”
Installation for a boat wrap is similar to any other vehicle wrap. The techniques for positioning, applying and smoothing the wrap film are the same. On this job, the back of the boat had unique curvatures that posed a challenge during installation, “but as soon as we had the back wrapped, the rest went on smoothly,” Will said. “In my opinion, the design turned out even better than the original. It looked amazing.” You can watch how we did the job in the video below.
