Building signs identify your business. Having clean, updated signs gives a professional image. We recently installed new signs for the front of their building. “The old vinyl that was installed on the corrugated siding finally failed, and we replaced it with ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panel signs,” John said. Building signs may also be acrylic, Lexan, PVC, backlit, or dimensional.

“In the early years the graphics on their vehicles were simple cut vinyl graphics,” John explained. “Over the last 8 years they have gone to full wraps on their trucks, vans and trailers.” Matching wraps distinguish their vehicles and brand. JRCC participates in and sponsors various golf tournaments throughout the summer season. Golf tournaments are a great way to spend time with prospects and customers in a non-business environment. One of their unique and memorable strategies is a custom go-cart that pulls a wagon with JRCC branded water bottles. The go kart has a van body and is wrapped to match the rest of the vans in their ever growing fleet.

Another aspect of their marketing is a customer appreciation party. Although not directly geared at advertising, thanking those who contribute to their success is a wonderful way to build friendships and strengthen ties in the community. “We have an annual customer appreciation party that we do. We rent out the aquatic center here and my wife and I make all the food—pulled pork, brisket, hamburgers, sausage, chicken, hot dogs, a bunch of salads,” JRCC owner Ben Justesen said. “We invite our customers, agents, adjusters, subs and material vendors and their families. We get prizes big and small and ask vendors in the community if they would like to donate. Any money we get we match and donate to a charity.”

A little more about JRCC:
JRCC was founded in 1985 by Blaine Justesen. His son, Ben Justesen started working in the industry as a teenager. After graduating high school, he was a missionary for his church for two years in Sweden. He then attended Eastern Washington where he met his future wife. They were married and moved back to Moses Lake. Ben returned to JRCC as the Estimator and Production Manager. After about nine years and receiving many certifications in the cleaning and restoration industry, he bought out his father to become the President of JRCC. He is very involved with his industry networks and associations. Ben credits his success to the stable foundation his father built and the employees that do incredible things every day.
