Michelle Linderman of Washington Trust Bank needed a skid sign on a property in Colville for the Hewes Marine Co building renovations. A skid sign is a temporary sign mounted to a footing system, usually used on construction sites or as directional signage for special events. “Skid signs work well as temporary signs, since they do not need permits and can be disassembled and hauled off relatively easily,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger explained.
Washington Trust Bank ordered and approved a financier skid sign Colville to be installed on site, but when the Signs for Success installers got there, the site already had another panel sign. “They directed our installer to mount the site sign to the existing posts, which worked out better on their budget,” Vanessa said.
This site sign was printed on ½” MDO board, which is outdoor durable for 1-2 years. For long-term and permanent signs, we would recommend an ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) product, as it would stand the test of time and elements longer than wood. For this project, however, MDO works perfectly and is more cost-effective for the project timeline.
