Quinn Group Solid Waste dimensional standee

We offer completely custom standees, including 3D standees.  The graphics for these three-dimensional tabletop stands were designed by Quinn Group for Spokane Regional Solid Waste System, and they were printed, cut and assembled by Signs for Success.

For the best use of material, we suggested 32.5” x 23.5”-sized standees.  “They wanted 36” x 26” when we first started, but material usage had too much waste, and it saved a bundle to do six per sheet rather than only three per sheet at the bigger size,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger said.

We used three different materials to create the multi-dimensional look of the 3D standees.3D POP Display

First, the background was cut out of gatorplast, a material that is rigid and thick enough to stand on its own without the material bending. Next, the recycle can and grass graphics were cut out of .040 polystyrene.  Polystyrene is a slightly thinner material that can be cut in-house on our plotter.  The plotter gives us the ability to contour cut signage, and it can achieve both the curvy swoosh of the grass and the angular cuts of the trash can.  Half-inch pieces of polystyrene were used as spacers between each element to give the stands their 3D look.  Finally, we used corrugated plastic to construct the stand that was added to the back.  The stand on the back is angled slightly so the entire standee leans back.  “We did not want it to be too front heavy and fall on its face, so leaning back was a good solution,” Vanessa explained.

Whether we use one material or three, flat image or 3D, we will conceptualize and create the perfect look for your custom standee.  Signs for Success is a locally owned family business in Spokane, and we strive for excellent customer service, perfect color, and quick turnaround on every project.  Our large production facility allows us to design, print and install everything in-house.  Get quality service and a quick turnaround on custom 3D standees; See More Standees

5 Reasons to Advertise with A-frame Signs Spokane

Wayfinding with a sidewalk sign a-frame with changeable faces, this style comes in black or white, made for Guardian Angel Homes, a-frame signs spokane

A-frame sidewalk sign Guardian Angel Homes

A-frame signs Spokane offer so many possibilities.  The A-frame sign, also called a sandwich board or sidewalk sign, holds two signs—one on the front side and one on the back side of the frame.  They’re great for street-side or sidewalk advertising at restaurants, small businesses, schools, or in shopping centers and malls.

Here are five reasons why a-frame signs Spokane should be part of your advertising strategy:

  1. Use them anywhere.  A-framesare lightweight and easily relocatable.  They’re attractive enough to use indoors, and sturdy enough for outdoor use. Durable plastic, MDO or coroplast a-frame signs, as well as custom sizing, are available.
  2. Simple storage.  The structure allows for easy storage at the end of the day or on off-seasons.  Simply grab the handle at the top, and carry it away.  The sign takes up minimal space when closed.
  3. Easy to switch out.  The coroplast signs are held firmly in place by the frame’s edge, but when you’re ready to change out the signage, they easily slide out and can be stored away.
  4. Inexpensive to replace.  Once you purchase your a-frame, we can easily design and produce additional sign faces depending on the season or specials you may want to advertise.  When you purchase your a-frame with initial coroplast signs front and back, the one-time cost for standard sized plastic a-frames ranges from $135-$225 depending on the size and type.  Additional sign faces for these a-frames are typically $100 per pair, but multiple pairs can be purchased at a lower cost per unit.
  5. Signs for Success’custom digitally printed a-frame signs Spokane will ensure no one else has the same signs as you.  We print full color directly to the sign face with photo quality results!  Our experienced design team will work with you to create the perfect one-of-a-kind artwork to complement existing graphics, logo, or colors.

Foamcore can be used to create a cost-effective tradeshow or presentation display.  Foamcore is lightweight and portable, and with clean lines and a smooth matte finish, it will give your tradeshow display a professional edge.

It’s lightweight, so extra large prints are no problem.  Foamcore displays can be mounted easily to the wall, hung from ceiling mounts or between two poles, or scored to create a folding display that stands on its own.  Adding foamcore displays to your presentation or existing tradeshow booth is a cost-effective way to increase your impact.  Whether you’re a student and you need an A on your next report, or you’re a business wanting to increase your customer base, a foamcore display will make a big impact at your next presentation or event.

Digital printing provides high quality prints with vibrant color.  We stock 4’ x 8’ sheets of foamcore, and with our large format HP FB500 printer, we can create custom foamcore prints up to 4’ x 8’ and anything in between.  We can even create custom shaped standees – self-standing foamcore cutouts for visual aids and added interest.  This self-standing foamcore display advertises the final concert tour of Brooks & Dunn.

Creating custom foamcore displays Cheney (and surrounding Spokane areas) is easy – upload artwork and let us know it’s there by filling out the brief information form.  Digital photography should be 150-300 dpi at 100% scale and 5 megapixels or larger.  Graphics or line art should be in vector format, 150-300 dpi at 100% scale, and CMYK is preferred.  For more information on acceptable graphics, see Artwork Submission.

Once we get your file, it’s on to printing!  Samples may be requested to make sure colors are spot on.

Custom coroplast signs are cost-effective, lightweight, and perfect for temporary signs and promotions, including your next special event.  Coroplast event signs can be created in many different sizes and shapes.  One of our most popular types of event signs is the coroplast standee.  A standee is a self-standing sign, usually made of corrugated plastic (coroplast) or foamcore, another lightweight and cost-effective sign material.  We’ve created anything from table-top size to larger-than-life standees, and from simple rectangular signs to custom cut shapes.

We have worked with local non-profit 2nd Harvest to produce coroplast signs for their “Take a Bite out of Hunger” event each year for the past four years.  Their signs include custom 4’x8’ coroplast stands for the auction tables as well as coroplast signs Spokane Valley on dining tables and hanging throughout the arena.  2nd Harvest serves Eastern Washington and North Idaho, providing 1 million pounds of food each month to people in need.

Coroplast signs aren’t just for fundraisers.  We’ve created many coro signs for just about any event and entity, including tradeshows, weddings, special sales in groceries or retail stores, campaigners, real estate agents, and even garage sales.

YMCA coro a-frame signs

Coro signs are great for non-profit organizations.  They are cost-effective and durable, lightweight and portable.  These large and small a-frame signs were created for the YMCA and their various events.  Coro signs can be used both indoors and outdoors.  They can be designed with a self-standing collapsible frame, such as this a-frame design, making them both portable and easy to store.  Although coro is considered a temporary sign material, it has been known to last for several years, so non-profits will be sure to get their money’s worth.

2nd Harvest wanted a standee that was large for a photo shoot at their events in Pasco and Spokane, Signs for Success did this out of corrugated plastic, coro signs spokane

2nd Harvest Semi truck standee

This giant coro standee was created for a 2nd Harvest fundraiser.  Spanning 24 feet long, it’s a nearly life-sized representation of an actual 2nd Harvest delivery truck.  A unique display is great for special events and fundraisers.  The most effective designs embrace something specific to the business or organization.  When 2nd Harvest held fundraisers in Pasco and Spokane, instead of simply tacking donation slips to a designated wall, they used this custom coro standee in the shape of a mobile pantry delivery truck.

The giant coro sign was created by printing six separate 4’ x 8’ panels of corrugated plastic.  When put together, they complete a 24-foot semi-truck standee with a contour cut cab and window cut-out.  The stand that holds each piece of the truck up is also constructed out of corrugated plastic and was designed specifically for this project.

One great thing about this custom standee is that it will always be significant to the specific purpose and mission of 2nd Harvest, making it usable at future events and fundraisers for years to come.

Foamcore, or foam board,

is definitely an underutilized sign material.  Though foamcore must be used solely for indoor signs, because it is both inexpensive and professional looking, foamcore signs can be used either as short- or long-term signage in almost any setting.

Use foamcore signs for:

  • Hanging signs
  • Point of Purchase signs
  • Directional signs
  • Exhibit signs and Kiosks
  • Tradeshow displays
  • Custom shaped signs
  • Easel signs
  • Presentation displays
Decorate with affordable styrene, paper, foamcore signs, gator posters in your retail clothing store, by Signs for Success in Spokane

Retail store signs

Foamcore is a paper product with a wood-fiber veneer.  It has similar thickness to corrugated plastic, but with a smooth face, and it’s perfect for indoor displays and indoor hanging signs.  Unfortunately, the soft paper exterior of foamcore means it is not outdoor durable, and should be kept away from moisture and high-traffic areas.

Even though it can be fragile, foamcore’s positive qualities prevail:

  • Holds a high-quality digital print
  • Very lightweight; ideal for indoor hanging signs
  • Inexpensive
  • Professional looking interior signage

Our foamcore signs are custom, full color signs that can be printed either single- or double-sided.  See descriptions of foamcore and other sign materials. Coroplast Signs, also known as coro, corro, corex, fluted plastic or corrugated plastic, often gets overlooked as a serious sign substrate.  Its versatility and other great qualities lend itself to several situations, indoor and out, temporary or long-term.  Even though coro is great for yard signs (perhaps its most usual niche), its potential goes far beyond the front yard.

Some other ways to use coroplast signs include:

  • Menu boards
  • Event signs
  • Directional signs
  • A-frame signs
  • Construction signs
  • Tradeshow signs
  • Standees
  • Indoor hanging signs
  • Point of purchase signs, and more!

What makes coro so versatile is its lightweight, durable material.  It’s 100% recyclable and water- and weather-resistant.  Coupled with the inexpensive price, coroplast is an easy choice for many sign solutions.

Coro is relatively inexpensive, and it can often be used in place of a banner.  “Coroplast Signs have the same look as a banner when you put it up, and it’s cheaper than banner material,” Signs for Success designer Vanessa Bogensberger explained.  “We had a customer who wanted a 3’x7’ banner, and we suggested printing to coro instead.  They got two 2’x8’ coro coroplast signs for less than it would have cost for one banner.”

Signs for Success stocks Standard and Opaque Corrugated Plastic in both 4’x 8′ and 5’x 10′ sheets.  Contact us today to get started on your next custom coro sign project!
